GAY Protest- Gran Hotel Costa Rica Discriminates!
GAY Protest held outside the entrance of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica and next to the National Theater. It appears GRAND Hotel Costa Rica may want to consider providing its Security Staff with Sensitivity Training, or perhaps a Review of the current Costa Rican LAWS on the Books regarding the discrimination of Gays. Basically, two lesbians accuse the Security Staff of the Gran Hotel Costa Rica for harassing and discriminating against them for kissing outside the hotel in the square. The kicker, apparently it wasn’t even a ‘making-out’ type of kissing. How boring is that? Well these lesbians weren’t going to take it, so they got their gay ‘family’ and friends to stage a protest outside the Gran Hotel. It was very nice to see a good turn-out and BEST of all, many ‘younger’ gay Tico’s were present of show their SUPPORT. Now that’s what I call a step in the right direction. World Human Rights Day Uganda
United Nations, December 10TH 2009 Is Human Rights Day, 10 December, UN Secretary-General, HE Mr. Ban Ki-moon urges everyone everywhere to join the fight against discrimination in all its forms. To end discrimination and embrace diversity. So on this very important day Bryan wants to talk with you about a very important issue that effects all people in the world not only gay & lesbians. KAMPALA, Uganda — Proposed legislation would impose the death penalty for some gay Ugandans, and their family and friends could face up to seven years in jail if they fail to report them to authorities. Even landlords could be imprisoned for renting to homosexuals. Gay rights activists say the bill, which has prompted growing international opposition, promotes hatred and could set back efforts to combat HIV/AIDS. They believe the bill is part of a continentwide backlash because Africa’s gay community is becoming more vocal.
